After the previous show’s debacle Doktor Engineer Doktor Faux rebuilds the HyperCOMM voice-bridge just in time for the Show’s newest friend: Chris. Hailing from parts unknown, Chris enters the satellite studio in Las Vegas, Utah with peas and immediately begins challenging every authority on the show. After stealing the mic away from peas, Chris unleashes THREE (3) BLIND-EYES. Doktor Cosmac (COSMAC’S COMMANDOS) shows up to judge Is it a Band before viewer mails and voicemails are quickly overlooked and then a NEW GAME: Messiah or Pariah. The guys debate over Chuck E. Cheese’s position in society before Fidd tells a wholesome family story about the BALL PIT. Peas apologizes and everyone tells Chris how great he is.
It’s production night in the studio as Doktor Faux wrangles Reverand peas into the booth to get the commercials done. Chef Rutenberg, Admiral Fridgelord and Caller 23 join in on heavy-hitting conversations such as Mozart’s birthday and how to properly tell racist jokes. It’s a laugh-a-minute, give or take a few half hours.
The whole point of doing the show live is to AVOID HAVING TO EDIT, but Fidd and Faux had to be in the OTHER studio during showtime this week, so we committed the ultimate Time for the Show sin by PRE-RECORDING A SHOW! That’s right, for the first time ever, this episode is actually a pre-prepared show, which gave us the chance to do things somewhat differently than usual, namely the inclusion of some prank calls by Faux and Fidd. The usual peas/Fidd/Faux circle-jerk was recorded the night before, much later than we normally do the show live, which explains why peas was DRUNK from minute one and passes out before the session is over. PEAS IS DRUNK ON THIS EPISODE, but it’s okay; he felt really bad about it the next morning and apologized to me and told me not to make a big deal about it.
